“There’s a plenty of room at the room at the bottom” the talk that laid conceptual foundation for “Nanotechnology” by Prof. Richard Feynman. He questioned his audience, “I don’t know how to do this on a small scale in a practical way, but I do know that computing machines are very large; they fill rooms. Why can’t we make them very small, make them of little wires, little elements, and by little, I mean little?” It is long before we know the term till 1974, which was used by Japanese scientist Norio Taniguchi for the first time. Later Nanotechnology has gained prominence from 1980s with the invention of Scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and the discovery of fullerenes.
With the visualization of a great platform for showcasing the multidisciplinary advancements in Nanotechnology research, is the dawn of “NanoEra – The Inauguration Webinar” with the theme “Nanotechnology for quotidian sustainability”.
